Asphalt Repair green is a regenerating agent for oxidized asphalt that allows new bituminous mixture to be created by reusing reclaimed road milling (RA – Reclaimed Asphalt). Production can take place with traditional plants for bituminous mixtures, mixing buckets, suitably prepared plants for the production of cement-treated mixtures, or by means of a dedicated milling machine. Dosage: usually 1.5 – 3.0% by weight of RA*, depending on the characteristics of the RA used and the type of intervention. Method of use: The reclaimed bituminous mixture (RA – Reclaimed Asphalt) must have a maximum particle size of 12.5 mm, so that the grading curve is as continuous as possible. In case of wet RA, it is recommended to add 1 – 2% cement by weight of RA. Insert the RA into the cold plant, if necessary, add the cement and mix until completely dispersed. Add the required quantity of Asphalt Repair green and mix until the RA is completely coated. Once produced, the cold bituminous mixture can be stored for up to a maximum of 48 hours. Asphalt Repair green can be used by means of a dedicated milling machine capable of dosing the correct quantity of regenerating agent. The process then involves milling and simultaneously mixing Asphalt Repair green homogeneously with the road milling, followed by laying and levelling with a rake. Finally, compaction is carried out with a roller or vibrating plate and the road is opened to traffic.
